WHAT WE DO:

Our aim is to provide optimal learning opportunities that utilize technology, innovation to equip students with 21st century skills.  We are especially dedicated to making a significant impact with student segments from economically disadvantage communities, representing predominantly ethnic minorities and multicultural backgrounds.

 

OUR VISION:

To work with students and school administrators on designing, developing, tracking and measuring curriculum learning plans to help students reach their academic potential and prepare them for a successful and rewarding future.

 

OUR APPROACH:

Working and generating new technologies that bring together home and school as collaboration partners to support student success.  Included in this technology focus educational initiatives are mobile apps, together with online platforms to support education/career action plans with individualized learning plans to foster access and success.

 

Our Focus:

  • Increasing access to college and career pathways for minority student populations.

  • Establishing a rigorous and engaging curriculum plan accessible via technology.

  • Implementing coordinated efforts by all stakeholders (i.e., students, teachers, parents, administrators) to reach successful educational outcomes.

  • Providing “the virtual guidance counselor to fulfill the 4-year high school plan while meeting college readiness standards.

  • Provide user friendly tools with class offerings, student planners, class selection guides, develop course trajectories to meet subject requirements.

  • Foster competence in technology use for students and parents in order to ensure stakeholders engagement in the educational process.

  • Creating a culture of success for all students.

MEASURING EFFECTIVENESS:

 

The Tech Learning Initiative defines effectiveness in four ways:

 

  1. Increasing minority students academic performance.

  2. Increasing minority students high school graduation.

  3. Developing a pipeline of academic college readiness within the same population.

  4. Increasing the rates of minority high school graduates enrolling in college.
